Walk: Green and panoramic Barcelona

Location:  Barcelona, Spain
Starting From: €50.00

Duration: 3-4 hours

Our itineraries cover the park of Collserola, which with more than 8.000 hectares of Mediterranean forest holds 10 million trees, 1,000 species of plants and almost 190 species of animals. The park is Barcelona's natural border to the west. From its highest points, we will see incomparable views over the Mediterranean, the city skyline, and its monuments: from Gaudi's Sagrada Familia to Barcelona FC soccer stadium. During our walk we will discover places of great ecological interest, hard to imagine so near Barcelona. We will also have the opportunity to see the important historical and artistic heritage of the area, such as Romanesque churches.

Price: 50 euros

In this thorough itinerary, we combine great panoramic views over the city and its environs from different sightseeing points, and we will go into the inner valleys of the park, in which for centuries, open space has been devoted to agricultural and religious activities. We will visit the chapel of Sant Medir, of Romanesque origin, and on our way back, we will cross the area known as Font Groga, one of the main ecological settings. Finally, we will ascend to Mount Tibidabo (512 m. above sea level, tallest peak of Collserola) where we will visit the Basilica that crowns the top of the mountain.
