This walking tour reveals the important role the sea has played in the different aspects of Barcelona's history. From the origins of the Roman city of Barcino, founded on the shores of the Mediterranean, the economic prosperity of the medieval trading port, to the recovery of the entire coastline, from the old port, the Port Vell, along more than 4 km of beaches, past the Olympic Marina and Olympic Village to the Forum.
